Access is the first thing a plot needs, and often the thing it lacks. Old farm tracks close up with brambles and fallen trees, winter washout cuts them, and a new plot may have no track at all.

We reopen old tracks by clearing the vegetation and trimming the edges, cut new tracks and driveways with the mini excavator, grade the surface with the tractor, and shape it so water runs off rather than down the middle. Where needed we add drainage channels and culverts, and surface the track with crushed stone, see gravel and soil spreading.

Reopening an old track is different from making a new road. Opening a new track through agricultural, forest or protected land may need permission, so check first with your engineer or the municipality. Tell us if you are unsure.

How the job works

1. Walk the route

   We walk the route with you: width, gradient, gate position, trees and obstacles.

2. Clear and cut

   We clear the vegetation and cut the track or driveway to the agreed line.

3. Shape and drain

   We grade the surface, cut drainage channels and place culverts where water crosses.

4. Surface

   We spread and compact crushed stone if you want a longer-lasting finish.
