Clear the old to make space for the new

Many Corfu plots come with something old on them: a collapsing shed, an animal shelter, a stone outbuilding, a ruined wall or a half-fallen farmhouse. They are unsafe, take up space you could use, and can make selling or building harder.

We demolish small structures with a mini excavator, which pulls down walls and roofs in a controlled way and sorts and loads the debris as it goes. Good stone can be saved for reuse; the rest is loaded onto the trailer. We finish by levelling the ground so you can build, plant or park on it. See rubble removal for the hauling.

Two important limits. First, many old roofs and water tanks in Greece were made of asbestos-cement sheets. We do not break or handle asbestos: if we suspect it, we stop and you need a specialist. Second, demolishing a building can need a permit, and buildings in traditional or protected settlements need extra care. Ask your engineer or the municipality first.

How the job works

1. Photos and check

   You send photos and tell us the size, the material and whether there is a roof of corrugated sheeting, asbestos or other hazards.

2. Permits and utilities

   You confirm any permit needed and that electricity and water are disconnected.

3. Demolish

   The excavator takes the structure down in a controlled order, sorting stone and debris as it goes.

4. Clear and level

   Debris is hauled away and the ground levelled, ready for the next step.
