Clearing that respects the trees
Corfu is covered in olive groves, many of them centuries old and left to grow wild. Under the trees, brambles, ivy, cane and wild grass grow fast. They compete with the trees for water, hide the terrace walls, make the ground hard to walk on and, in summer, turn the whole grove into fuel for a fire.
We clear between and under the trees with a compact tractor and brush shredder, and by hand close to trunks and low branches so the bark is never damaged. The result is clean ground you can walk on, ready for harvest nets, pruning or planting.
If the grove has been abandoned for years, we work in stages: first the access and the main terraces, then the rest. That keeps the cost sensible and lets you see progress before deciding on the next step. Timing with the harvest
The olive harvest in Corfu runs through the winter. Clearing the ground beforehand lets nets lie flat and makes picking faster. We work slowly close to trunks and use hand tools where needed. We agree the plan with you first and mark anything fragile.
Can you clear a grove that has been abandoned for many years?

Can you work on stone terraces?
Yes, with small machines and hand work. Terrace walls are never pushed over on purpose; tell us which ones are fragile.
How often should an olive grove be cleared?
